“ The 5 star rating is not overhyped. The vibe, music, food, decor was all outstanding. The food’s savory, sweet, salty with the right amount of spice. I cannot get over how delicious everything was. A couple of points that I think could improve the space would be having a dedicated waiting area as it’s a little confusing to go when you enter. There isn’t a host stand to check in. also voices and the music echo around the restaurant so it can get pretty loud in there. but these are all minor points. It was a great experience. Highly recommended! ”
“ Great food! Very contemporary and elegant interior design. Lovely atmosphere, perfect for brunch or a date night. We got the Liberian greens with plantains, the beef and veggie pies (the veggie ones tasted better!), and the golden bowl and Senegalese peanut sauce bowl. 10/10 would recommend. They also have delicious mocktails, the hibiscus tea one is so delicious ”
“ Dinner was amazing 10/10!!! 75-80% of the food on the menu is gluten-free. Which is vital for my husband. It was a cute little spot, earthy/warm atmosphere, and had a very diverse crowd! Although, I came out with friends, I'm bringing my husband with me next time. My appetizer came out within 5 minutes and the main course seems like it was less than 8 minutes; definitely quick service! I ordered plantains as an appetizer (not the classic-style, and it was soo good) and the chopped salad with a choice of a protein and 5 toppings. I chose grilled chicken (double chicken as I have a high-protein intake diet), black-eye peas, radishes, pickled onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers! The grilled chicken was truly grilled. It was crunchy and tender at the same time! Valet service available, tip-based only! Con: Although, I didn't see the restroom, my friend, who was with me, said it could have been a little cleaner. ”

“ First but won’t be my last time here. The service, food and atmosphere was a vibe. I ordered the Golden and it was absolutely delicious. The plantain’s help ease the spice down which was an amazing touch. The chicken was seasoned perfectly. The oga Palmer was super refreshing. I bought a bottle to take home. If you haven’t tried west African food you’re missing out. Run to ChopnBlok and give them a shot. ”

The menu is well thought through, it’s made palatable to people who aren’t necessarily familiar with west African cuisine while maintaining authentic flavors. Service was top notch as well. I recommend booking a reservation it can get busy. Try the Motherland Curry! ”
“ The food I ordered was good. 1st time visiting. Location is in a good spot. Its fusion of West African and American food. I enjoyed the Banku add blok-chicken. I like my food a spicy so I requested additional pepper (they gave me Cameroon pepper on the side). I'll be back to try other dishes. I also had the OGA Palmer, which was very refreshing. ”
“ My daughter loves this restaurant and she took me for Mother’s Day. Every dish was so aromatic and flavorful. Staff was friendly and service was great. It was really busy but we received our food fast. We really enjoyed this beautiful restaurant! This spot has such a dope vibe! ”
